Baby A. is a fighter. Born 5 weeks early, she was technically only due the day before out session. And she was a sweet as can be. Typically the older the baby the harder it is to get sleepy poses, but she worked it out like a champ and let me get some great shots of her while she slept, and then she was adorable while she was awake too. She really was a great baby!

So thanks a million M family for letting me come into your wonderful world for a few hours. Here is a sneak peek of the images from our session together. I can’t wait to show you the rest!

He’s mine! San Francisco Child Photographer

He is all mine. I went into the living room this morning and he was just chillin’ on the couch with the headphones on… they were not plugged into anything. He is so funny sometimes. I grabbed my camera and we had a little lifestyle mini-shoot. I <3 him. I played with the processing on [...]

So I am trying some new stuff. I have been loving the idea of just hanging out with a family and capturing some memories of them playing together, of them just being a family and doing things that families do. It is not as easy as it sounds (well maybe just for me, haha). I really had to become a fly on the wall (and the floor and the couch and pretty much all over their house, haha). I had been practicing on my own family for a while now and have decided to take it to the streets! I think we got some awesome story-telling “lifestyle” shots and then some modern portraiture mixed it with it. And, btw, this is what I love to do. So if you are thinking about getting some family portraits done, you should consider doing a story-telling session with me. Tons of fun!

Now on to this awesome family. These are some good friends of ours. I have been wanting to do this session for maybe a year now. And you can obviously see why, they are gorgeous and fun and happy and SO. IN. LOVE! It was a total joy to be around you A. family! You guys rock and I can’t wait to see some of these shots on your walls!

Festive and stuff. Livermore Family Photographer

I met up with these three at Joan’s Family Farm this past weekend. You might remember the farm from this post, click here for family picture FAIL post. Well I had to go back and avenge myself and the ability for me to take family pictures at the farm. I think we succeeded this time. Only thing is that I didn’t get any of my three together again. Maybe I am doomed. haha.

Anyway, this gorgeous family were awesome. We fed cows, we got bit by misquotes, we watched a donkey run around after escaping, and we picked pumpkins. These are the best sessions! I love when I can just hang out with a family for a couple of hours and capture the moments of them just being together. The best times of being a family are just being together and laughing and playing. It is a beautiful thing to watch, experience, and photograph.

So thanks to the M. Family for meeting me at the farm. It was fun and I hope you love the memories we captured!

This family is too cute. From the moment I walked in the door I was surrounded by feelings of love and fun and family. Miss K. was your typical 2 and a half year old. Very much in love with Thomas the train and very eager to share her play world with me. I believe we shared some fake bread with fake butter but the butter might have actually been cheese, I couldn’t tell. And little Mr. E was just not a fan of the tummy time but surprised the heck out of me when he proved that he could sit up all on his own at 6 months. That is an amazing feat little man!

Thanks so much T. family for letting me come over and hang out for a while. It was a pleasure to get to know you a little more and get to take your pictures. And Mommy E. if you ever want to help me with a what to wear guide, you would rock it (you picked out some adorable outfits for the family, kudos to you for that!!).

Here is your sneak peek, I will be in touch soon!

I had the awesome privileged to hang out with the N. family and their beautiful little girl Miss S. What a fun time we had! And it was a first for me too. I have never taken a family picture that included a cat. I will spare you the hilarity but just know that we got the shot, pure chaos and all.

I am in Kentucky on an adventure with a friend of mine and while I am here I thought it would be fun to meet some new families and spend some time capturing some of thier memories.I have two sessions while I am here and this is the first of them.

This family is adorable . You can tell that this mommy and daddy are totally enamored with the lovely little Miss S. and in the short time that I had to get to know them I was enamored with them too. Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys for a little while and without further ado here is your sneak peek!

A year and a half. It is quite the accomplishment for a little guy. Just a mere 18 months ago yesterday we were the proud parents of a new baby boy and we had no idea what was in store for us. And we have found he as brought so much joy, so many laughs, some sleepless nights, a new part of my self-identity (MOM!), and more love than I could have ever imagined was humanly possible.

So heres to you little man, who won’t be little for too long.

A day in the life. San Francisco Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

May 4th, 2009

I love babies. And I love my friends. So what could be better than hanging out with friends who just had a baby. Um, nothing. Mia is 6 days old today. And she is perfect. No really, perfect. She sleeps like an angel, she just chills through toddlers running (i.e. screaming) though the house. And [...]

I love babies. And I love my friends. So what could be better than hanging out with friends who just had a baby. Um, nothing.

Mia is 6 days old today. And she is perfect. No really, perfect. She sleeps like an angel, she just chills through toddlers running (i.e. screaming) though the house. And she lets me get awesome shots of her for hours on end. Really perfect.

I went for a slightly different feel for this shoot. I love babies in their natural habitat. I love taking pictures of them with their stuff, their blankets, their mommie and daddy, and in their home (with all of its glorious natural light). This is my passion. So, if you love these as much as I do, talk to me about doing a lifestyle session. I would love the opportunity to get some creative images of you that are just incredibly real!

Love you W. family! Hope you love these!
